Eric Cantona on Jonathon Ross
Eric Cantona was a guest of Jonathon Ross tonight, promoting his new film Looking for Eric, released 12th June, which tells the story of a postman going through a difficult time, who is given the strength to make it through by none other than footballing genius Eric Cantona. There were evidently a few Man United fans in the audience, as there was many a cheer when Eric talked about his time at the Club, saying it was one of the best times of his life. If you miss the French football legend, you can buy Cantona Shirts from Subside Sports. Eric will have a lot to live up to if his acting career is going to be as successful as his footballing career, but we wish him every success, and perhaps he will take inspiration from another guest on tonight's Jonathon Ross show, none other than Dustin Hoffmann, who was also promoting a new film, the romantic comedy Last Chance Harvey, which is released today, 5th June.

Big Brother 2009 Underway
So Big Brother 2009 has kicked off, and the various housemates have paraded in. The big shake up for this series is that none of the housemates are officially classed as housemates yet, they all have to win their places. Rodrigo was the first housemate given the chance to secure his place, by shaving off the eyebrows of a fellow contestant and drawing glasses and a moustache onto their face with permanent marker ... and Noirin was the first to volunteer, so she and Rodrigo are now the first two official housemates. The rest of the contestants were then made to change into clothes provided by Big Brother ... so it looks as though Big Brother is going to be pretty mean this year.

The Apprentice Final is on Sunday 7th June
Congratulations to Kate Walsh and Yasmina Siadatan, who have reached the finals of The Apprentice. Debra Barr made third place but Sir Alan had to think very carefully before eliminating this determined candidate. The final task will be to launch a new box of chocolates, with Kate and Yasmina acting as team leaders to the previously eliminated hopefuls. Just remember that the final will be aired on Sunday 7th June, at 9pm on BBC1 - it's been moved to avoid the England World Cup Qualifier against Andorra being played on Wednesday 10th June at Wembley.
Nokia N97 Available for Pre-Order
The Nokia N97 is now available for pre-order on O2 and Orange at Mobiles.co.uk.
Whilst Nokia may be coming a bit late to the touchscreen smartphone party, the Nokia N97 will give its competition some cause for concern, with Nokia billing it as "the world's most advanced mobile computer". Built with the use of your favourite internet apps such as Facebook in mind, the phone has a 3.5 inch touchscreen with 16:9 aspect ratio, and boasts a proper slide-out Qwerty keyboard, which will no doubt enhance the usability of the device. Naturally the phone is stacked with all the latest mobile communications standards, such as HSDPA mobile broadband, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth, but Nokia has also pleased the photographers by the addition of a 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash to make the N97 a capable camera phone.
Nokia has recently launched the Ovi Store, its answer to Apple's App Store, and is hoping that the N97 will be embraced by third party developers. One advantage the N97 has over the iPhone is that it is Flash Lite 3.0 enabled, and can therefore play Flash videos. The N97 runs the Symbian S60 smartphone operating system and supports mobile e-mail and instant messaging. The Nokia N97 looks like it should be a very capable smartphone but it will undoubtedly face stiff competition from the likes of Apple, HTC and Blackberry, especially with the rumoured launch of a new iPhone this summer.
