Congratulations to Andy Murray, who managed to see off a sustained challenge from Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka in a thrilling five setter on the Centre Court on Monday to make it through to the Wimbledon Quarter Finals. Andy won the match 2-6, 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 and will play Juan Carlos Ferrero in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday. Good luck Andy.

Random Glastonbury Fact!

According to Mark Radcliffe of the BBC, the Glastonbury fence is eight and a half miles long. No wonder everyone goes on about how vast Glastonbury is! Currently featuring on the Glastonbury highlights programme is Bon Iver, playing Skinny Love ... what an amazing artist! Nice beard and guitar too ...

Sunday Highlights from Glastonbury

More lovely stuff from Glastonbury, and great coverage from the BBC on their highlights programme. The Prodigy had the crowd rocking, with high energy performances from Liam and Keith, bright lights and bad language. The crowd loved it. It was good to see Blur return to the stage, it was as if they had never been away. Damon Albarn still has a passion for Fred Perry T-shirts, Alex James' other job is now a cheese farmer and Graham Coxon reminded us all just how good a guitarist he is. A big favourite with the crowd was Song 2, but our favourite has always been Country House, and Blur performed some more sedate numbers too, such as Beetlebum, and there was a rendition of Park Life which was also a crowd pleaser.

As we write this, Nick Cave, dressed in a smart three piece suit with flared trousers and a shirt with massive collars, is bringing his unique songs to the Glastonbury audience, whose flags are swaying along sedately underneath an orange sunset. One of the accompanying Bad Seeds guitarists has a ridiculously small electric guitar. Early we saw indie rock favourites the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, with their lead singer wearing brightly coloured leggings and an arty shawl/wrap, which was thrown off dramatically midway through one of their songs. This band has a great sound so we can almost forgive the guitarist destroying his guitar at the end of the set. Bat for Lashes is now performing, dressed in a sparkly rainbow sequin top, black lace gloves and purple leggings. She's singing "Daniel", which we believe is baseed on her childhood love of the Karate Kid, great song anyway. Lauren Laverne tells us Bat For Lashes has shamanic influences, which might explain why her keyboardist has a black crow stuck on their instrument.

Other performers at Glastonbury were Madness, with the band all wearing black shades and getting what we assume to be members of the crowd up on stage to dance in that distinctive Madness style. Welsh singer Tom Jones was also there singing Delilah, choosing a blue Satin suit for his performance, a blue satin shirt and his customary medallion.

Watch all the Glastonbury 2009 Coverage Again

BBC iPlayer currently has coverage of Franz Ferdinand, Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, Dizzee Rascal and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Great stuff, be quick though because it's not up there forever.

Glastonbury Glamour is in Fashion

What's in fashion at Glastonbury 2009? It's all about Glastonbury Glamour. Fashion tips are to rock the glitter, add highlight touches to outfits to bring glamour and sophisticaqtion, 50s, wellies and fluorescents (Jo Whiley).

Glastonbury trendsetters include Daisy Lowe, the singer from the TingTings, Kate Moss (original), Lady Gaga, Lily Allen, Shingai from the Noisettes, Little Boots (hot pants, bright colours) and fashion designer Henry Holland.

Visit DropCost UK to find fashion at great prices. You might even find a purple catsuit like Lily Allen's, but as far as we know Lady Gaga's flame thrower bra is yet to hit the market.

Bruce Springsteen performs with The Gaslight Anthem

The Gaslight Anthem The 59 Sound Single

We're absolutely loving the BBC3 Glastonbury 2009 coverage at the moment. We've just seen Bruce Springsteen performing with The Gaslight Anthem. Bruce was the band's idol so you can imagine how their lead singer felt as they sang "The '59 Sound", The Gaslight Anthem's truly amazing single, which has the lyrics "Ain't supposed to die on a Saturday night" and something about hospital wards (the bit we seem to remember). Anyway, whilst we can't bring you the actual Glastonbury footage, we have found a high quality Director's Cut of the video to "The '59 Song" from YouTube, so you can hear the song we are raving about. You can also view Gaslight Anthem merchandise.

Maximo Park up next. Good isn't it!

Andy Murray beats Troicki at Wimbledon

Andy Murray has won his third round match at Wimbledon, a convincing victory over Troicki in three straight sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4. Andy pulled off some great shots and left his opponent looking a bit lost on Centre Court. Murray managed to overcome his opponent in only 96 minutes, looking in a big hurry in the last set to make sure the game was finished this evening, to give himself a day off tomorrow before his next match on Monday against the Swiss Number 2 Stanislas Wawrinka.

Today at Glastonbury, Spinal Tap, Dizzee Rascal and Bruce Springstein

Playing later today at Glastonbury will be Spinal Tap, Dizzee Rascal and Bruce Springstein. We're loving the Glastonbury TV coverage on BBC3 so far, our favourite act so far has to be Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga Outfits at Glastonbury 2009

We're just watching the excellent BBC3 coverage of Glastonbury 2009, and enjoying the energetic performance by the talented Lady Gaga. Not only is this girl a great singer, she is also clearly a fashion trendsetter, and has her own maverick and adventurous style. The first outfit we saw was a metallic silver creation, with angular features creating a human sculpture piece somewhat reminiscent of art school creations, finished off with a Venetian mask made of mirror tiles. The next Lady Gaga outfit was a short red pvc dress, with studs like bullets on the shoulder straps, gold buttons or bead detailing, red fishnet tights, red fingerless gloves and finished with high heeled boots (possibly rubber boots, not sure).

Of Lady Gaga's entourage, her bare chested drummer looked a bit like Iggy Pop, and her dancers were dressed in a bondage style, (black leather straps over the chest and fingerless leather gloves).

The next unique Gaga outfit was a metallic bra contraption that shot flames like sparklers with Flash Gordonesque shoulder arches and a black leather corset. Then it was down to just a pink pvc bra and kinckers combo, with matchling light pink stilettos for her hit song "Poker Face".

Here at DropCost.co.uk we love Lady Gaga's energy, she busts some great moves, and we love her original fashion sense. This is the new Queen of Pop and she was rocking the Glastonbury Crowd. Oh, and her guitarist is quite handy too.

Lily Allen Performs in Purple Catsuit at Glastonbury

Lily Allen chose a backless purple catsuit and pink wig as her outfit for her performance at Glastonbury today. Lily put in a great performance and received a cheer from the crowd when the pink wig came off, along with her beige high heels. We're now watching the set from White Lies, another crowd favourite.

We went looking for a purple catsuit in the style of Lily Allen, and the closest match we could find was a navy jumpsuit at Littlewoods Direct, who have a range of catsuits, jumpsuits and playsuits.

Davina McCall on Jonathon Ross

Davina McCall was a guest on Jonathon Ross last night, talking about how she loves presenting Big Brother. Davina reflected on how how Big Brother has changed, as there were no tasks whatsoever in the original, and there was relatively little happening in the original house, with Nasty Nick writing on bits of paper being the Big Brother scandal that made the news. Davina also said that Anna Nolan from the first series is the only one that she's still friends with. Davina knew insantly that she wwanted to be friends with Anna and they have managed to keep in touch. One of her favourite housemates ever was Nadia, the winner of Big Brother 5 in 2004, who Davina admired for her enthusiasm.

Talking about Big Brother 2009, Davina said she thought she would hate housemate Marcus (the wolf man) but actually thinks he's a very entertaining housemate. Jonathon Ross is a fan of Siavash, and thinks he's one of the best dressed guys in the country. The viewing figures for this year's Big Brother aren't what they were, but the series is certainly starting to become a little more entertaining as the contestants settle in. There's the romance between Kris and Dogface, and the love battle between Marcus and Sree over Noirin.

Away from Big Brother, Davina has been in a zombie movie called the Dead Set, revealed that she sometimes misses her clubbing days (she used to be a bit of a raver and thinks she's a legendary dancer) and is extremely competitive at school sports days, wearing trainers especially to make sure she wins. Davina denied any rumours that she might soon appear on the Good Morning sofa alongside Philip Schofield.

The guest appearing after Davina was Matthew Fox from Lost.

Andy Murray Wins at Queen's

Congratulations to Andy Murray who has won the Aegon Championships at Queen's Club. Andy has become the first British Winner at Queen's in 71 years. Andy beat James Blake 7-5, 6-4 and didn't drop a set in the whole tournament. In his post-match interview James Blake said of Andy, "He's a great player ... hopefully we'll meet again in a final in a few weeks time". After the match Andy commented, "I thought is was a good match, not so many long rallies, but James is a very tough player, we've only played once before so I didn't know quite what to expect ... I had some of the best tennis I've ever played in my life, so I just had a good week."

Fortunately tennis fans won't have long to wait to see Murray in action again, as Wimbledon 2009 starts on Monday 22nd June.

Andy Murray a Set and a Break Up at the Queen's Final

Things are currently looking good for Andy Murray at the Queen's Final. He won the first set 7-5 and has just broken Blake's serve to go 4-3 up in the second set.

Isle of Wight Festival Live Coverage on Sunday

Music fans will be pleased to know there's live coverage of the Isle of Wight Festival on ITV2 on Sunday 14th June 2009 from 8-9pm and from 10-11.30pm. Acts will include The Script, The Pigeon Detectives, Simple Minds, the Charlatans, the Pixies and music legend Neil Young.

On Saturday we have already enjoyed Sharon Corr (playing her blue fiddle), The View and Ladyhawk. Johnny Burrell, a big supporter of Friends of the Earth, did an exclusive acoustic performance of Behind Your Barricade, and Pendulum put in a high energy performance that the crowd loved. McFly was another high energy band who know how to have fun on stage. They are quite a bad these days and their bassist has a very cool bass with a lit up fretboard.

There was an acoustic performance from The Stereophonics. Will Young, who is working on a dance album with Groove Armada and wants to open a bric a brac shop, performed the Bryan Adams cover "Amy". The Rakes were also playing, they have quite a following these days.

Finally, we saw Calvin Harris performing I'm Not Alone. Wearing a shiny black jacket, he had the crowd jumping up and down with their glowsticks.

Isle of Wight Festival TV Coverage on Saturday

TV coverage for The Isle of Wight Festival 2009 continues of Saturday at 6.30pm on ITV2. Bands performing include electro genius Calvin Harris, deep-voiced serious rockers White Lies and Maximo Park. Later tonight at 10pm there will be live performances from Scottish singer Paolo Nutini, Razorlight and Welsh rockers Stereophonics. The show is presented by the cheerful Fearne Cotton and comedian Rufus Hound.

Andy Roddick Forced to Retire from Queen's

Unfortunately, Andy Roddick has been forced to retire from his semi-final at Queen's after twisting his ankle in one of the early games. Running to the back of the court, Roddick was unlucky enough to twist his ankle when stepping on the edge of the court, which has a very small drop off to allow drainage. So, it will be American James Blake who meets Andy Murray in the Final of the Aegon Championships at Queen's Club on Sunday.

Commenting on his opponent's retirement James Blake said, "Normally he moves so well ... Today it just wasn't the same Andy Roddick." Speaking to the crowd afterwards Blake also took the opportunity to remind the crowd he was half British, we guess he's hoping for a bit more support on Sunday.

Andy Murray Through to Queen's Final

Congratulations go to Andy Murray who is now through to the final of the Aegon Championships being played at Queen's Club in London. The World Number three put in a commanding performance to beat Spain's Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-2, 6-4. Andy showed the form he was in by breaking Ferrero in the opening game of the match.

The other semi-final is currently being played between Americans Andy Roddick and James Blake, with play currently being suspended in the first set at four games to three in Blake's favour for Roddick to receive treatment to his right ankle.

Jonathon Ross Kisses Take That

Take That were appearing on tonight's Jonathon Ross Show (along with Jack Black, and foodie double act Sue Perkins and Giles Coren). Clearly lots of Take That fans were in the house as there was loud cheering when one of Take That's racier early videos was played (featuring Take That naked) and host Ross was telling the band how a lot of fans had contacted him online asking him to say hello to the band on their behalf. We think it was Mark who then said to Ross something like "What, give us all a kiss ..." which Jonathon Ross, after a quick rinse with mouthwash, duly decided to do.
